In the flow and under pressure: imc test benches for valve development at SAMSON AG

imc delivers a comprehensive test bench solution at the new ROLF SANDVOSS INNOVATION CENTER for SAMSON AG in Frankfurt, Germany

The ROLF SANDVOSS INNOVATION CENTER is the new development and testing center of SAMSON AG. The focus here is on the construction of valve prototypes and research. In addition, SAMSON AG is also focusing on future-oriented topics such as data analysis and cloud technology.

Covering an area of more than 7000m2, a total of 16 test fields in the ROLF SANDVOSS INNOVATION CENTER with a total of 195 test stations were planned by imc and equipped with imc test and measurement equipment. This is not only used in the areas of flow technology (Flow Lab) and life cycle testing, but also in the facility systems (Plant Engineering) of the test center itself. More than 250 valves in various nominal sizes and pressure ratings from SAMSON and its subsidiaries are used to shut off and regulate the plant. A customized user interface in imc STUDIO has been developed for operating the test stations and integrates the various test procedures. Thanks to the excellent cooperation with SAMSON AG during the project phase, it was possible to achieve precise coordination when setting up the measurement solution.
