compact data acquisition system is ideally adaptable to a huge range of testing
needs:

With DAX, you are always ready: for the test you know about today, and
the measurement you haven't even heard about coming tomorrow!
Based on the CRONOS-PL Platform, the DAX Systems
support direct, synchronous logging of 4 - 32 analog inputs, frequency/counter inputs,
digital inputs, digital outputs, GPS, and CAN Bus Logging and up to a total of 512
channels, per system.
In addition, the DAX-C Series systems include analog outputs as part of
an integrated digital input, digital output, counter, analog output module.
Standard Features of the DAX and DAX-C Systems include
- DC Smart Power Supply: 10 - 36 VDC input, with battery backup (include AC adapter for
benchtop use)
- CANBus input and output capability, including optional support for ECU interfacing
- Dual independent node CANBus interface, including software switchable termination, and
settings for high or low-speed CANBus. Baud rate and message ID size (11-bit standard,
29-bit extended) is also software selectable
- 10/100 Mbit Ethernet Connectivity
- Stand-alone "autostart" mode -- blackbox operation, no PC or user intervention required
- PCMCIA and Optional Compact Flash storage slot
- Connectivity for modem, graphical display, and GPS are possible
- Configuration and operation software "imc Devices" is included
- Operating conditions -10 to +55°C, optional extended -20 to +60°C, condensation allowed
There are two physical packages which are used: the smaller 4 - 16 channel CS
housing, and the larger 8 - 16 channel CL unit (PL2 and PL3, respectively, in the previous naming scheme):
