Sleep Function for IMC Hardware?

Is there a way to put any of the IMC data loggers into a sleep mode (ultra low power consumption)?

What would be nice is if a logger could be connected to a constant power source (like a vehicle battery) in a sleep mode and then wake up on a trigger start collecting data, then go back to sleep after a specified period of time and wait for the next trigger. If connected to a vehicle battery, there would be a lot less worry of draining the battery if the vehicle were to sit over a weekend. Also, there would be less worry of draining the battery in the IMC logger if the logger were connected to a line like the vehicle's ignition, and the ignition was cycled in a relatively quick succession.

BusDAQ's (the DAB4k variety, i.e. using TCP/IP) can be configured to do this.

Problem with a sleep mode on the analog input systems is startup behavior... it takes some amount of time for a filter, an amplifier, etc. to stabilize after power is reapplied. And if you wanted to monitor "just one" analog channel to use with your filter, then you end up having a fairly high power draw on your sleep mode.

But a nice idea, nonetheless!
